Life is like a mysterious, musical crossword puzzle...

Some of the notes are written for you; these are the surprise delights of unexpected encounters with our God. They ring with a magical melody that fills you with life-giving harmonies of His loving kindness, goodness, and faithfulness, placing within us the clues to the missing chords.

These missing strains are our trials, griefs, and pain. We know them because they feel somewhat hollow; something is missing, or it is it… Someone? It seems dark and empty; discordant, maybe?

But if we will look back on the notes already written—those already encountered and those yet to be experienced—we will find the clues to the missing theme, and fill the empty spaces with a melody that forms from the breath of the Holy Spirit, upon the strings of our heart.

And if we get it wrong, we will play the phrase over until the melody lives within us, and the hidden notes present themselves, as the guests of honor, at the banquet of praise that flows from a heart of love for her King.
