Topic: SURPRISE (07/25/19)
When Jesus comes again
He will come as a full grown Man
Taking charge of ALL Earth’s Nations
Doing as He was expected to do
When first He came like me and you.

What kind of King is a baby
born in a lowly place?
Messiah was to conquer
Israel’s enemies, set up a Kingdom
and save them from disgrace.

To further make His claim a sham
on a Cross He died, like any man.
But what had been done was hidden
from almost everyone’s eyes.
His Plan was victorious, done in disguise.

Oh how the imps of hell rejoiced
as they viewed His body broken,
Jesus’ blood dripping to the ground,
not knowing that in the act they
had performed, their own demise was found.

Victory for ALL creation was won upon
that day, the Devil was defeated
AND our sins were washed away!
SURPRISE... it was allowed for GOOD.
Thank You for Your Sacrifice Our Lord,
done as only YOU could.

I accept and I receive the work that You
have done, to take away my sin
and to my heart You enter in.
One day in the future, when this life is done
I will come to live with You, and be SURPRISED
forever, at all the things You DO!

Some of your rhyming lines jump around.

You can have a greater choice of words for rhyming if you can change the order of a sentence. Let the verb come last in a line or an adjective come last. You can say the same thing with words in unusual positions and this is a common practice with those who choose poetry a their choice of expression.

Keep writing. When God puts "the urge" to write, we should not quit - just learn how to express ourselves better.
