Topic: BAGGAGE (02/08/18)
What is spiritual bondage? Spiritual bondage can be considered baggage. We can sometimes hold onto our past mistakes. We take on our past as if it was invisible baggage. People might not to be able to see our problems we carry. We wrap them up in a pretty suitcase. If they look deeper inside the bag up close, they would see the tares. They will be able to see the mask that is wrapped around it. God want his children to leave our problems at his feet. He wants us to open it up and deal with it spiritually. Opening up our wounds in his word . He want us to leave it at his alter. We have a spiritual alter that is not physically seen. This is the alter where we cry out to God and worship. As Christians we walk by faith and not by sight. Our alter is covered by his mercy and grace for us.

Yes, our past mistakes can get an ugly hold on us but I am thankful that we can remember we have unloaded our baggage of sin when we obeyed what Peter told those to do in Acts chapter 2: "Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit".

We may remember the sin but God has forgotten them. They are forgiven and should not have a grip on us.
