A Time to Rethink
The word trust enters into many aspects of our lives. Whether we are Parents, Grand-Parents, Married, Single or Divorced, Working, Retired or stay at home Moms. It is impossible for us not to encounter a trust issue in our everyday life. It is my belief that is why it was written in Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (NLT) God is the only person that we can truly put or trust in and know without a shadow of doubt that He will not fail us. However, that rarely happens in our real worlds. We put our trust in many things and people; therefore, we find ourselves hurt, misused and violated.

When that happens, I have found that the best solution to our problem is to Turn to the Lord and ask for guidance and directions. Always be willing to extend Reconciliation to whomever caused the mistrust. It should be our responsibility and goal to Understand how and why it happened. For us to do this, we should Seek sound advice from God's written word in an effort find healing for yourself and not to lose the relationship or be hurtful or distant towards the person. If there is someone else that you consider a confidant, then, speak with them about the circumstance in an effort to achieve a unbiased opinion. It is always good to be Thankful for having an opportunity to turn what could have been a tragedy into a triumph for the Glory of God.

Life may not always be easy and God did not promise that it would be. However, we have the ability to make our relationships work and regain trust in every area of our lives. It is written - Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. (NLT) We can and should make every effort to learn to trust again, release the hurt and pain then forgive the offender. After all, that what God does for us and He desires for us to do the same to others.
