all in a jumble,
will I ever finish
be it ever so humble.
I would write a book,
or one or two,
such a long task
will I ever get through?
I think I'll do so much,
but time gets away,
before I know it,
it's the end of the day.
Life seems so short
rushing to a close,
as age creeps on,
to do what I propose.
Started to sew a quilt,
to make it neat,
it was so difficult,
it is not complete.
My great masterpieces
of the artistic kind,
were never completed,
were all in my mind.
Rhyming I can do,
it comes in a rush.
Others write stories,
mine are a mush.
I don't know how
this rhyme will end,
if I'll ever finish or
go round the bend.
One day I'll finish
my time on earth,
and I'll end up in Heaven
because of my new birth.
