Topic: Singing (10/31/05)
I was tired and alone,
Travelling through life on my own.

My heart was broken, and my feet were weary.
This path I had chosen was very dreary.

I plodded on, listening for a sound,
But there was no one else around.

The darkness had invaded my heart.
In this place light had no part.

“Help me,” I cried.
My plea seemed to echo and die.

Suddenly a brilliant light pierced the dark!

The Angels were singing!

I felt a hand grasp mine,
Pulling me through space and time.

The Angels were singing!

Lord, Lord my soul is saved!

I can hear the Angels singing,
Their voices are all ringing.

My heart is bursting with love,
For my God who is above.

I open my mouth to join the heavenly chorus,

But the Angels are silent…

They are listening for me,
To sing my song of victory.

My voice rises and dips,
As I sing my song of a sinners trip.

A song of victory at the end of 'A Sinners Trip'. It's a pity that the angels stopped singing.

I really liked the concept of the angels waiting, to hear your song. The poem would flow better if you stayed with your rhyme scheme...but it told a glorious story.
