prices soar - infinite zeros
how many more?
A hot air balloon reaches into the sky,
higher and higher, what a grand ride.
Everything begins to burst,
as if by surprise. The signs were there
behind worldly eyes.
Spinning and spinning
out of control.
Dazed and confused,
a painful fall.
A rubber band can only stretch so far.
Sooner or later it's going to give.
And when it does
everything
will just
go
SNAP.
And so there it is,
in all that it's worth -
the chronic condition of
puffed up
inflation.
Nothing
but zeros.
Zilch.
Kaput.
Hold fast to the cross
Don't be slack!
You may wind up like
Freddie Mac.
A takeover from forces
that lie outside
Inevitable without
your greatest ally.
Keep the zeros and hot air
out of the shell.
Or eventually
you know,
it's
going
to
Snap.
