TITLE: Crabbie the Crabberton | Previous Challenge Entry

To see why his lilies had died.
Although he was crabby to others
For the death of his flowers,
He cried.
Upon a much closer inspection
He spied something shiny and bright.
He gathered the now wilted flowers,
To take them in under the light
Bright in the light, he discovered,
His lilies were glittered and glued.
The sticky had killed all the petals
Now Crabbie was in a bad mood.
So. . .
Crabbie stomped into the town square,
To tack up a sign of request.
For help from the Crabberville townsfolk,
To punish and catch all the pests.
Now,
Crabberville townsfolk were friendly.
They felt for this neighbor of theirs.
Even though Crabbie had held back,
From those that he now asked to care.
The Crabberville townsfolk went searching.
To found out who did such a job.
To purposely kill all the flowers,
And make their poor Crabbie now sob.
When. . .
Tobber and Globber had heard this,
At first they just wanted to hide.
But realized, although they were guilty,
They did not want Crabbie to cry.
They both went to Crabberville town square.
Then called all around just to hear,
The story of Crabbie’s dead lilies
Oh yes!
They were both filled with fear!
Both had commenced with the story,
Of how they had started it out.
They wanted to do something nice so
That Crabbie would not always pout.
“ We thought if we covered his lilies,
in sparkles that glowed day and night.
that it would make Crabbie so happy,
if asked to be friends, he just might.”
“ But we didn’t know that the glitter,
would kill all his flowers that way.
we say to you now that we’re sorry,
And,
surely it’s our hides that will pay.”
Crabbie the Crabberton cried hard.
“What a wonderful message they sent.”
He smiled. . .
Then he wiped at his streaked face.
“I’ll be happy to call you my friends!”
