OF JOY
The many words that have been phrased to praise
Words of adoration for our Lord, so lovely and true.
Words that limit our expression of gratitude for You,
Words hindered sadly by our earthly boundaries.
My heart of hearts longs to be so in tune that it can reach
A chord of praise, a joyous melody never heard by mortal man.
I long to hear a rhythm of notes created in the wonders of heaven,
Created and planted within my soul by the Holy Spirit.
May the chords of my heart be then tuned by the Master,
That it might yield a song of worship filled with joy fit for His ears alone.
A harmony of chords that will touch the heart of my Master,
The heart of my Redeemer, my King of Kings.
A pure sound that brings about a melodic harmony
That will cause my Heavenly Father's heart to respond with joy..
