Topic: Joy (05/18/06)
Joy is a very simple subject for me to write about. I love Joy. She is beautiful, soft, and furry. Oops, did I say furry?

Yes, that’s right; Joy is furry because she is our cat. For the last two years, since we first brought this calico kitty into our family, the word joy instantly brings pictures of our little four legged friend into my mind.

So what does this cat really have to do with the subject at hand? That’s simple! Joy is the feelings you get when you watch a tiny four year old girl snuggles with her kitten. It’s the memories of your own newborn babies that flood your mind as you observe momma Joy care for her little kittens.

True joy comes from our Father in heaven when He showers us with these simple gifts. He gives us a lifetime of lasting memories that fill our hearts with this thing called joy. Even so, I imagine the fullness of joy will only be known on the day we see Jesus face to face. What an awesome feeling I have yet to experience when I hear those wonderful words of grace, “Well done.”

Meow, meow; that sound will always remind of the goodness of God. When our gracious Father gives you a good gift you’ll know on that day that Joy has walked into your life.

No mind can conceive of what God has planned for us in Heaven. If God made us delightful, furry creatures here on Earth, well, I, for one, can't wait to see his work on the other side of eternity.
