Bring me out of my worries into the light of your presence
Even when I have not been humble
Even when I have not obeyed you

Cup me in the palm of your hand
Caress my worries away
Warmth and love seep through my skin

See inside the real me
See inside were my fear lies

Bring me comfort
Bring me contentment
Bring me hope for tomorrow

Bring me into your springtime
Like the wild flowers that grow where you planted them
Help me follow you to wherever you guide me

Help me to get lost in you
Help me to trust you without exception
Help me to be humble

Send me a message of hope when my life is too hard
I sent you my prayer
I sent you my raw honest prayer

Help me to be the person you made me to be
I feel your love flow into my bones
I feel you within me

Fill the emptiness with contentment
Fill the guilt with compassion
Fill my soul with forgiveness

My gratitude is without boundaries
My faith increased
My forgiveness cleansed

I look up to the heavens and I am filled with thanks
For the Lord loves beyond this world
His love is eternal

Lovely poem. I really liked the line "Cup me in the palm of your hand". I also liked the positive statements of faith at the end - so it wasn't just asking, but receiving too.

Simple, but deep. Great prayer. I loved this verse:
'I sent you my prayer
I sent you my raw honest prayer'
One or two little typos, but nothing major. Good stuff

So much emotion and honesty in so few words! You compress a life time of experience, taking us from anguish to acceptance with, in so few words. Well done.
