Our home is undergoing some remodeling. Come to think of it, our home is always undergoing some remodeling. Nearly every room (in two different homes) has undergone some sort of transformation-- mostly cosmetic, but always time consuming. (It once took us seven years to remodel a tiny bathroom. Sad, but true.)

Is it any wonder, then, that transforming our lives should be any different? Why do we think we can change the big-ticket items in our lives in less time than it takes to remodel a bathroom? (Not really a great analogy, but it works for this story.)

Change takes time. And patience, courage, strength, endurance... (You see where I’m going with this?) Put your faith and trust in God, and He will help you with the big—-and the small—-things in your life. In His time. In His way. And while you’re waiting and praying, maybe you can do some remodeling...

I like this; it's written in a relaxed, matter-of-fact, authentic voice, and it has a tidy lesson. I don't think you need the parentheses; it would read just as well if those sentences did not have them, and there are quite a few for such a short piece. Good job!
