Topic: STEAM (12/03/15)
Where I originate from is a fishing town by name of Grimsby. That at one time had the largest fishing fleet in the world. Not now, along with the steelworks up the road in Scunthorpe. There is now mass unemployment on a very large scale.

In their hey days a common term used was. A full head of steam which would apply to a fishing vessel or the blast furnaces in the steelworks. Alas all that is gone and in place of them is despair and a feeling of great loss.

If ever there was a time for the church of God to go a full head of steam. To replace all these negative thoughts, with the word of God it is in these two towns. Oh yes there are many others like them just now. The need for Christ to enter in is so very great, people have built their lives for generations on the lure of big money.

And now? it is all gone and the feeling of self worth has deserted them as well. Drugs and suicidal thoughts are on the rise, alcohol can blur the situation for a while. But on the next day the reality of what has happened sets in. This is where the church must get its act together. Make the voice and guidance of the Holy Spirit the centre in all matters. Empty ourselves of self and be channels for the Holy Spirit to work.

In every dark situation there is some light, this time it is the light of the world. Nobody else that can bring the fruits of the Holy Spirit to fruition.

Yes, we need to be praying the the Lord of the harvest will be sending forth workers into the fields which are white unto harvest.

Some plant the seed, some water but God gives the increase.
