That sweet hour of prayer is here.
It's those moments that I hold dear.
It is when Your sweet Spirit is near.
In Your Presence everything is clear!
In that hour I will know what to do.
It is just part of my clinging to You.
Every hour brings a time to renew
With prayers that I offer up to You!
A sweet, sweet Spirit fills that hour.
As I enter into Your freeing power.
I am safe in You, Jesus, My Tower,
In that Grace filled sweetest hour!
You inspire me with words to pray
As I seek to please You, Your way.
Grace makes praying seem like play,
In those 24 sweet hours of ever day!
Sweet hour of prayer came with cost.
It is adds to Your salvation for the lost.
You brought freedom to us at the cross.
Resurrection's Gold refines any dross!
So in that sweet hour I pray and wait.
Prayers go fast, past heaven's gate.
They are answered hourly, never late,
In that sweet hour from Your Godly estate!
I will never stop praying continually.
It comes from my heart unceassingly.
I pray, in Sweet Jesus, most pleasingly.
Thanks in that hour for redeeming me!

Thank you for this lovely poem.
God bless~
"It is adds to Your salvation for the lost."
The words "It is adds" threw me off - I wasn't sure what you were meaning to say.
This week on the forums, Jan's Writing Basics is doing a lesson on rhyming. Your rhymes are great (though maybe one or two seemed slightly forced to me, but I'm no expert so it could be just me), and she is encouraging poets to step out of the box and try some different rhyming patterns. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn from Jan and for others to learn from your examples.
