There once a lady that was trying to figure out if she wanted to become a Christian.
She started a pros and cons list by drawing a line down the center of a piece of paper.
She gingerly wrote PROS on one side and CONS on the other side.
She knew that her life was going to change with this important decision.
Next, she contemplated what was a positive aspect of being a Christian.
She looked up at the ceiling and sighed. And just as lightning came down from Heaven, she wrote:
“when I die I will go to a beautiful place called Heaven”. Now, that she had that on that side she
thought what would be a negative of being a Christian. Again she pondered at that question then wrote:
“leaving my loved ones and family behind that had not made that choice”. The woman became perplexed
as she thought in her heart about this very statement.
She continued to write down the positives of choosing Christ and then, the negatives.
She looked down at her paper and could think of no other opposites.
And she saw to her amazement that her list of cons were only a few. And she knew at that very
moment that the unseen hand of God had led to her to a new life.
She bowed her head humbly and asked Jesus to come in her life that very moment.
She felt so relieved that she did not let the negative side win in her mind and soul.
And she felt confident that she would do all that God told her about telling her family about Him
and letting them have the choice to accept Him.
