Topic: Right and Left (07/31/14)
The many blessings that life gives to us should not be taken lightly for the 'God of heaven's armies' has kissed us with His gifts of mercy and grace. He goes to great lengths to reach out and take each one’s hand. Please do not refuse to take the hand of the Lord. I ask, ‘Who would dare to slap the hand of Jesus?' Woe to that man who rejects and condemns the anointed one. Hatred / Indifference should never be spewed out toward such a loving God who loves us so much that He sacrificed His own Son in order to redeem us from the curse of the law. Would that have been an easy act for our Father in Heaven to witness? Yet, Jesus was still compelled in His Spirit, to obey God. It was the relationship between His Father and His Father’s children (us) that He was thinking about during His darkest hour.

Being thankful to Jesus, as well as trusting our whole heart to Him every single day, would be the greatest gift we could ever offer to our heavenly Father. It should not be that hard to put our hands into the hands of such an Awesome God. When I rely and trust in the peace of His presence I am ushered into the wonder of His majesty-which becomes my whispered hallelujah. When I give God this special gift of completely yielding to Him, I know I am pursuing the Right Way in life.

Jesus has been my faithful friend even during the times that I tried to push Him away. He would not allow me to go to the left of His center for very long before reeling me back into His arms. I never have been able to resist that heavenly tug...

Isaiah 30:20-21 (KJV) - And though the Lord give you the bread of adversary, and the water of affliction, and yet shall not thy teachers be moved into a corner anymore, but thy eyes shall see your teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

"Jesus, forgive me for the times I have rejected You. I draw near to You now, and purposely put aside all of the entanglements of this life. I run to You… For You are the Alpha and Omega--You knew me even when I was in my mother’s womb, and so You know whether I am going to turn to the right or to the left. Thank You for believing in me when no one else would. You took me and molded me into a vessel of honor for Your glory so I could pursue Your will as I walk Your way on this earth.”

Where is God, some have wondered? He is here right now with us all; He loves us no matter what we have done. He will come into anyone’s heart who asks Him. 2 Corinthians 6:2 (NLT) - For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation I heard you." Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. Moving in the right direction is only a prayer away!

Your wording is good throughout this piece. No doubt God has blessed you with a strong aptitude for writing!

May I suggest, next time instead of telling the reader these things, relate a personal experience that show these things as truth? It is always more powerful and interesting when you put a story with it—like Jesus did.

Devotional writing is one of many important ways to express yourself and God's directing your life.
In today's fast paced world sometimes a short devotional is all the bread we have time to chew.

Nice job. I liked your strong word and phrasing choices. "The 'God of heaven's armies' has kissed us with His gifts of mercy and grace" was one of my favorites!

I wonder if it might flow more smoothly if you changed "Hatred/Indifference" to "hatred or indifference", or something similar. The slash seemed to interrupt the reading process a little bit. But it might well be just me!

At any rate, this is a very insightful piece. I look forward to more of your writing.

This is a nice devotion. I especially liked the prayer. You did a nice job of selecting Bible verses to enhance your message. You should think about submitting some devotions to the FW daily devotions.
