It is as priceless as the dawning of a beautiful morning and it appears steadily, more beautiful than the glow of the noonday sun. In every man there is an innate competition for attention and in every heart, there is a fierce struggle for recognition. Judging by the fixture of nature, these traits are as natural as the evergreen leaves of the mimosa and they always showcase glaringly, as the protruding high mountains of the historical highlands of Africa.
We all want to be men of honor and women of renown. O yes! Deep within every soul, there is a silent longing to make a glorious name that would sail on the tides of events and remain on the sands of time. However, only a few of us are prepared to carry the inevitable cross that precedes every crown and much less are those who are willing to script a story of grass to grace.
Despise not, the days of little beginning and do not be filled with dismay, when a sense of shame sets in. For godliness with contentment is great gain and there is a good reward for every labor of love. The obstinate cycle of life will not change and the tenets of prominence will forever remain the same. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden and no man ever lights a candle and keeps in a place that is hidden. You and I have been called out of an endless darkness into a shinning brightness. So by letting our lights shine, no matter how little, we unconsciously give others the permission to do the same.
As the day and hour draw nigh which now is, people from all over would see and speak of our good works when a bell of hope and redemption rings in the hearts of many a nation. Then we shall say and proclaim, ‘here we stand today as harbingers of a matchless fame’.
