In an attempt to substantiate our flaws, and imperfections for it is the desire of many to be saintly.
Although, running the course to achieve perfection come the unpredictable mistake, mishap, or mess-up; for the unsuspecting person—is the occasional fluke.
We might equate these flukes to the unexpected drop of our car keys in the tight space between the driver’s seat and the console positioning perfectly under the seat frame, making the challenge to retrieve it nearly impossible.
We might equate these flukes to entering a narrow bathroom stall, in which any jerky movement would perpetuate a gravitational pull, watching with un-belief the unattainable catch before the drop right into the toilet.
We might equate these flukes to mowing the lawn in the morning of summer to find a wondering Honey Bee buzzing by, followed in quick succession of the remaining nest, swarming to guard its hive that took possession of the lawn bag.
Despite these frustrating moments that may momentarily hinder us, blunders from diligent working folk have inspired generations of enjoyment, fun, and positive imprints for decades to come.
Some favorites include:
Family traditions that start with eating,
Kellogg’s Corn Flakes while perusing the box ads, trivia questions, and searching the Answers: box in small print. A cereal made due to wheat going stale, as it was meant to create a food for patients, but ended up as a food staple on kitchen tables around the world.
Two kids to be lifetime friends are running in sync to the musical toy-piano harmonics of an ice-cream truck offering a solid selection of frozen Popsicles like the orange Big Stick to the blue ICEE.
A frozen treat created when Frank Epperson, in childhood, left a stick immersed in his water with soda water powder mix on his back porch.
In warmer spirits, melted chocolate is a delightful pleasure. For any person who spares none with Chocolate Chip Cookies.
It was simply the idea that chocolate bars would melt in the oven, therefore creating chocolate chips. Ruth Wakefield-known as “cookie baker extraordinaire” offered comfort through delectable treats.
It is childlike distractions like the flinging of Rubber Bands used as a child’s weapon for target practice, preferably not a person, and to amuse ourselves out of boredom.
Charles Goodyear, the rubber perfectionist stumbled across the invention of vulcanized rubber when he left a raw piece of it on a warm stove that sat sulfur and lead.
In playful recollection, Play-Doh fascinated children around the world gathered in their classrooms to mold shapes and designs from colored modeling clay, originally used as pliable wall paper cleaner. Noah McVicker discovered its pliability as dough, which is non-toxic and non-staining reusable clay.
A sophisticated Naval Engineer, like Richard James, who in the act of retrieving a coil spring from a top shelf watched it fall in a downward spiral over table tops, books, and onto the floor in re-coiled form.
To his surprise, the Slinky was born.
A toy remembered primarily by its slogan,
“It’s Slinky; it’s Slinky. For Fun it’s a wonderful toy
It’s Slinky; it’s Slinky. It’s fun for a girl or a boy.” (Charles Weagley and Homer Fesperman, 1962)
When we think about blunder’s in life that we can’t help but laugh at, or sigh in desperation to, because it happened at the worst possible time. We often think “What lesson is to be learned here?”
But in a century of time down to measurable decades, mistakes, mishaps, or mess-ups will continue to plague the processes that we follow, but in our sudden disappointments we may just find something worth wild and— consequently— error to great success.

I think for the chocolate chip cookie story, though, that you meant the chocolate would turn the dough chocolate, not turn into chocolate chips. At least, that's the version I've heard. :)

Nice concept to tie into the comedy of errors topic...Very imaginative. God Bless~
The only suggestion I might make is instead of listing them tell about them in a story format. Use names where you know them. You don't need to count the words used for your references. Just pit a header that says footnotes or Author's Notes and that would give you more words to expand your story.
You have a great message here. It's so true that God can turn mistakes or bad situations onto amazing life changing events if we just let him. Great job.
