Topic: White (10/29/09)
It was winter, and the snow that had fallen the night before glistened beautifully in the early morning sunlight. The peaceful, quiet of the white landscape was only broken by the occasional cracking of a tree branch, and the soft sound of the snow, as it fell to the ground beneath. It was the kind of peace, perfect for the time with God that was long over due. The Lord has His way of quieting our lives when we need it the most. The quiet of the white, glistening snow is one of my favorites.
I took a deep breath of the frosty air, closed my eyes and truly began to listen. Only then, could I hear the sweet, cooing, of the little, white doves, as they make their shelter among the branches of the snow, white covered fir trees and the faint hoot of the snow owl as it returned to its nest to rest. I thought, if our Lord can provide for the needs of these small creatures, even under a cold, white blanket of snow, then surely, He can care for our needs, even during the coldest seasons of our lives. Because, it is during our biggest trials, that life is renewed and a new life springs forward. Just as, with winter, spring breaks though underneath, beginning only as a small bud and growing into a beautiful, wonderful creation of God.
As I pondered these things, and again took in the beauty of the whiteness, an even more precious picture was painted before me. Descending gently through the beam of sunlight, a dove landed on the snow before me. What a glorious illustration of our heavenly Father in the sunlight, His spirit as a dove, and Jesus the Son as the pure, white snow, shining all as one. How amazingly, wonderful, just because I took the time with Him and listened with my heart. Oh, what we miss in the chatter we create.

I do like the peace you portray that comes with snowfall. The symbolism is good to the end, even with the dove in front of you. A little disjointed with spelling and grammar errors, but easily fixed. Good work.

Beautiful imagery and outstanding effort at capturing the sweet serenity of winter. I really appreciate your ability to weave the message of God's provision into the content seamlessly.

As a suggestion, you might want to add some spacing between paragraphs so that the reader can savor the imagery idea by idea, thought by thought.
