We come into this world
Wrinkled and blue,
Crying and screaming,
Deepening the hue.
Red, yellow,
Black, brown and white,
We are all pink on the inside,
We are our Father’s delight.
And as our time passes
We grow older each day,
Praying that Jesus
Will show us His way.
From babies to children,
Then older to old,
We wait for Our Master
His face to behold.
We want to look into His eyes,
We want to hold His hand,
He is our Lord and Savior,
He is our forever Friend.
We want to share with others,
All that He has done…
We try and wait patiently…
Knowing He will come.
We will go home…
Much the same way that we first came…
Wrinkled blue and crying…
Listening for our name…
Hoping He will tell us…
Our job was well done…
Knowing our sins were covered...
By the blood of Gods’ only Son.
