Unveiled from mother’s womb,
Taken from our comfort tomb
Splendid in innocence,
Fashioned in magnificence
As infants we can’t converse,
The world we can not traverse
With The Father unable to speak,
With His Son not able to feast
Unavoidable, the original sin,
The decay that is to begin
Newborns have no concern for this,
The inevitable fall into abyss
But we can start anew again,
A psalm with a brand new refrain
Born again can sing a new song,
The curse of death most surely gone
An infant in the world of distress,
Birthed into this constant darkness,
To a newborn in the Kingdom of splendor,
His endless graces warm and tender
The stand I make by being saved,
By discarding how I once behaved,
With a second birth I shall be spared,
Forgotten in this life how I faired.
At the end of time I shall not die,
But will be lifted in the sky,
With His hand the veil shall rise,
No longer my deeds I will chastise.
