At the beginning of the day
When everything is new,
I love to sit and watch the sky
As it turns a lighter hue.
The sun comes peeping from the East
With shafts of golden light,
Touching all that's waiting there
To be rescued from the night.
And as the daylight brightens
The birds all start to sing
Their very special chorus
To my ears they bring.
The dew is sparkling bright
And everything is still.
The flowers slowly open up
Their scent the air to fill.
The cows and sheep start grazing
Upon the still wet field.
Things are as they should be,
It's like the world is healed.
For out of the darkness came light,
From sin we've been set free.
Each morning we're made new
As clean as clean could be.
Throughout the day there's light,
The sun up in the sky,
And if you walk with Jesus,
The Son is right nearby.
He'll be with you if you ask Him
A good and faithful friend,
And He'll still be right there with you
When the day is at an end.
The sun slips slowly lower
Till behind the hill it goes
Leaving shafts of soft colours
Those awesome sunset glows.
It is a time for sleeping
Your body to restore
In preparation for tomorrow
When it all begins once more.

Not only that, but you also made it into the highest rankings overall, placing 39th out of all the entries for the week. That's always excellent for a Level 1 entrant.
If you'd like to check the highest rankings for yourself, you can find them here:

The highest rankings are posted every Thursday evening on the Message Boards.
Again, very well done. :-)
Hope to see you at the FaithWriters' Conference in August.
With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)
