The Sunday school room was crowded today with over 50 inquisitive elementary students, young minds, eagerly seeking answers to God. “What great questions,” thought the pastor. After 35 years devoted to the service of God, the opportunity to just be with these precious little people was by far his favorite part of the week. Another young boy raised his hand, the pastor called on him, “Yes Elijah, what is your question?”

“Well, Pastor, I want to know how God made Adam from dirt; how God made water; and if God made everything, who made God?”

“Oh boy, this one was always thinking. Good thing I have my default answer, its seems to work for me all the time. I‘ll have to start there, and let God answer the rest. Dear Lord, let me speak Your will to this bright child of Yours.” prayed the pastor.

“Well, Elijah, I too have lots of questions for God someday. There is a lot I don’t know or understand, but, I do know one thing. You are right, God did make man from dust. God did make the earth and the sea. How He did it, I do not know, my child. But who made God? Now that is something for us to think about.” said the pastor.

“In Revelations 1:8 NIV God tells us that “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” This means, my child, that life is like a circle. There is no end. We as young babies came from a perfect place of union with God. He sent us here to work for Him, and when we die, we shall return to live with Him forever. All of us know Him deep in our hearts and long for Him. We want to return to that perfect love, freedom from fear, and total acceptance we knew with Him. God is both the beginning and the end, my child. There was nothing before God. No one could make God. God has always been here. There was never a time without God. God is here now with us, guiding us through His Holy Spirit, and, He will come again at the end of time. Only we are constrained by time, my child, time is nothing to God.” said the pastor.

“Wow, I wonder if he got any of that. Dear Lord, thank You for always being right at my side, OK, let’s keep going.“ prayed the pastor.

“Next question. Lilly, what is your question?” asked the pastor.
