This is one thing I have longed for all my life; and here I am, entering a contest. I am so excited! I have been studying the area of the country we are to write about and gathering all kinds of information, I feel good about the project because I have done much research on the topic.
Therefore, without further discussion, I want to share the many things I have discovered about this country.
One interesting discovery is, you can get a Title, yes, that’s right, a Title! There is a brochure of all titles available, plus family crests; and one could even buy a small section of land that belonged to a Royal family.
The land has a deed and can be passed on to your children. This costs a royal arm and leg I might add. But wouldn’t that be impressive?
If one obtains a Title, there would be no end to the doors that would be opened to you. You would have all benefits of royalty, the best tables in restaurants, no need to snap your fingers for service, the servers would hover at your table.
Were you planning on a flight? How does going first class sound? You could really live it up! Your title is real; it’s true you do have to buy it, but you can become, and can use legally, the title you choose. It might be exciting to be a Duke or a Duchess; or possibly, a Baron or a Baroness.
The families' crest is impressive and would grace a wall in great style. To have a crest on the wall and your title on a prominent table, would 'impress friends and influence people'* wouldn’t it? Wow!! I will supply information to anyone who is interested in becoming part of the ‘privileged few’ in the world.
I need to look over the contest rules, to make sure I have followed the rules, etc. They fuzz my brain. Being dyslexic doesn’t help either…
What in the world is wrong? I can’t believe it! I will remain cool and not get excited, while I double-check it one more time.
Haven’t I called myself a ‘Poor Lucille Ball,’ all my life? Did I not say I was the one who patented ‘Murphy’s Law? If I had been Eve, wouldn’t I have eaten the wrong apple? Haven’t I been ask by two husbands “What; did you, do now!!”
How did I do it? I have flubbed up, big time. Okay, it is an honest mistake. Anyone could do it. I think the contests should have a longer time between them. I’m just getting ready to write on the subject of the week; and the contest has ended.
What do I know about South America? Sure, everyone knows they wear bright clothing and love to dance. It goes without saying it is south of us.
Would it surprise anyone to learn that I wrote on last weeks contest subject? Well, I did!
I wrote on the UK. Not only did I write about it; I have shared the information with lots of people. I’m sure I will receive many requests for information on how to become titled!
There won’t be a contest winner announcement in my email box, I guess. However, I am enough like Scarlet O’Hara that I can say, ‘After all, tomorrow is another day.’
