“Ok, this part of her life seems pretty well accounted for, lets tally her truth or dare records”, said Dudley
“Sure Dud, but I don’t understand why we need to tally the truth or dare records,” Cuddly questioned. He was a new angel.
“That’s to calculate if the resident qualifies for the BAD event.”
“A bad event!, Oh my I should have checked before asking for a transfer from the gold street, What on heaven…a bad event…oh my...amongst good people!” Cuddly now almost ready to pull out his last golden curl that adorned the top of, where his fontanel once was.
“Oh no no , don’t go into a frenzy. Its not a bad BAD event, it’s a good BAD event. You see, BAD stands for Beat-A-Devil.” Dudley assured with his charming toothless smile.
“Phew! For a minute there I thought it was something else. It does sound like an interesting event”
“Oh yes it sure is. It’s a new event to encourage our future residents. God is wonderful in fabricating such double edged stuff”
“Double edged? I’ve heard of the double edged sword, but not this one”
“Its doubled edged because it serves as a motivation for future residents to stand up for truth and a devil gets beaten up too.” Dudley giggled as he imagined the sight of the fat green one, a new resident had beaten up last day.
“That sounds cool, do we get a chance at that too?” asked now enthusiastic Cuddly.
“Sure, but not by ourselves. We can participate, only when the residents ask God to dispatch us”
“So does this one qualify for the event? If she does, I sure hope she calls for reinforcements”, Cuddly said excitedly.
“Lets see now, her truths are much less in count than her dares, she has more chances of qualifying for BAD”
“Huh! How come? She has less truths, so how can she qualify?”
“That’s the thing Cuddly. Every time she was faced with a truth or dare situation in her life, she was afraid to stand for truth and the devil then got a chance to throw a dare at her and she was bound to do it. All because she didn’t choose truth. The devil can then manipulate her life the way he wants. She recently got saved so there are more chances of seeing the devil prowling to get her back. That’s where we‘ll see some action when she chooses truth over dare”
Since Cuddly couldn’t fully grasp the meaning of this whole montage, Dudley decided to bring him down here and show him first hand a glimpse of my life.
“There she is.” pointed Dudley. “Can you see those wicked ones waiting to devour her?”
“Yes,” jittered Cuddly from behind Dudley’s wings. “What do we do now?” he added as he watched me sit at the bar with drunk men and fiery eyed drooling demons following my every move.
“We can only wait and see , whether she chooses truth and refuses that drink or has it and gives the devil another chance to throw her a dare”, Dudley replied with concern .
“She’s got up, she’s not drinking that stuff, she’s heading out.” Cuddly gave a running commentary as they watched me get into the car and burst into tears.
“Whoa look at that!, Cuddly exclaimed as he stared wide eyed and mystified at the glorious light that shone over me and a host of brilliant white angels surrounded me.
“She’s praying for reinforcements Cuddly, d’ you wanna go,” asked Dudley with a twinkle in his eye.
“Sure,” he said flexing his tiny muscles, which weren’t tiny any more as he joined the ranks with the other 998 angels and Dudley.
The demons, Cuddly had seen before, began fleeing, tucking their tails between their legs and Cuddly had the time of his life. Chasing them. Slashing them. Beating them. He made sure he paid them in full so it tallied every dare I had ever been tricked into.
