We had our home listed for close to a year now, and it seemed like the “For Sale” signs began to disappear from every yard but ours. What was taking so long? Frustration and short tempers sometimes appeared as we tried to keep the house continuously showroom ready. The bright spot was I believed I had the cleanest house on the block!
Dear Diary,
I can’t believe we’ve been in Pennsylvania for seven years now. As I look out into my backyard right now, the clusters of trees tower over my head and my son is taking pictures of the deer so near to our deck we could touch them. What an awesome neighborhood! I’m so thankful that the house we had under contract here originally fell through. This handyman special was a steal and the neighborhood is awesome.
Work went great today. I can’t believe I actually get paid to do this; a job created just for me. Watching the Office Manager’s position this past week, I realize I never would have been happy with that first offered job the broker had tried to hold open for me for so long. What a surprise when the broker called me after we got settled with a brand new position.
Julie emailed me today and sent photos of her three girls. I can’t believe we were just acquaintenances at church and then suddenly the Lord gave us this spiritual connection where we became best friends all of a sudden. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to give her emotional and spiritual support for that year in Nebraska when her husband suddenly walked out on them. Joe did enjoy becoming Mr. Fix-It and repairing everything in sight for her while we sipped coffee and “supervised”. She sounds so happy now. I can’t wait to hear more about the nice man that she met recently.
What an awesome plan God had for my life. I don’t know why I allowed my fears and frustrations to get the best of me wondering if the move was the right thing to do. The Lord answered my prayers in His incredible timing as usual and even went beyond my greatest expectations!
Got to go now, Diary. We’re going to my son’s charter school tonight for a puppet play. The opportunities my son has been blessed with in Pennsylvania will be for tomorrow’s entry.

Enjoyable.
Isn't it amazing how God blesses us with such wonderful things? If we learn to wait on him, all things really do work out for our good. Thank you for sharing.
