Which one will be the weakest, in this prison cell of body? Which one will be nourished, and which, will rack with the stirrings of unquenched hunger? Flesh along with soul, Spirit joined to heart. One will stand alone in the end, but which?
I regard one and fight the other. I can never agree with both, for they can never walk together. Bound together, yet straining to go different directions. Anger is the life’s bread of one, while surrender is the beat of its companion. Two bound together, yet at odds.
One’s voice is loud, while the other’s is a whisper. If I seek the path of one, I will only find regrets. Only to follow the other, to roads of rewarded completion, at a heavy cost. Yet the louder is so persuasive, and the quiet easily ignored. One appeals, while the other requires great sacrifice, and is a road not traveled.
In agony the war goes on, first one drop of blood, followed by another. I reach, but then pull back. I strain for a way of escape, while embracing with a grip of desperation, the only way of hope. In anguish of Spirit breathed revelation, I release myself into what I’ve known from the beginning of all time. Anger has no voice here, for this is my destiny. There is only one way to the Father, and that is by me!
And He cried out,“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

It's wonderful the way you illustrated our two natures- I was thinking at the first that maybe you were illustrating a marriage! Peace!
