A person does not find happiness…it is made or chosen. Happiness is an expectation or hope. It is an emotional state of joy, pleasure, and inner peace and is achieved by giving, sharing, and knowing that your actions please God.
It is a state when one is content with himself and he can give and receive love unconditionally from the heart without depending on a circumstance. This is more easily attained when one feels his life has a meaning and purpose and when one realizes that happiness never decreases by being shared.
It is not an end in itself. It is the combined result of playing, working, loving and living in a manner that one knows pleases God. God planted the seed and we must cultivate it to a splendid flower through love.
It is being able to recognize God’s wonders of nature as we welcome the morning sunshine, feel an Autumn breeze, watch a rainstorm, walk with bare feet on dewy grass, feel the sun shine on your face, watch parent birds teach their babies to fly, and watch others smile.
Lightheartedness is the ultimate state when our five senses blend into pure love and when what we think, say, and do is well-timed. It is this state that enables us to gain from our common sense, health, emotions, and spiritual values. It is from this state that we will please Gold our Creator, who allowed and wanted us to be happy.
