Topic: Happy (07/12/07)
Happiness is fleeting in moments and facial expression. I experience them but have more often than not taken them for granted. No longer will I commit this same inexcusable crime of injustice. Chasing that feeling of freedom and sheer bliss is a thing of rare beauty like a rose that develops only to be singled out, plucked and dies. The challenge is finding it somewhere else rooted. This emotion waits for someone to notice it enough to find it worthy to be embraced and appreciated for the place it holds in life. There I stand the captive audience that has been waited for. I peer, often squinting and really using my imagination the vision becomes clear. It is there and I can sense it. Blooms of existence joy and peace are attached like leaves often requiring sustenance based on position and prominence. This gratification that sits above the rest possesses beauty and the landscape forms around it. I in response to this display am drawn in and turn relaxing to enjoy this moment. Yes this feeling that has been chasing me for days have finally caught up ... it is joy. Joy from being able to feel and revel in where I am today, blessed to be here. Lying down in the grass I look up gazing at the artistry on the canvas of the world that lies over my head. How can I not feel peace and joy when there before me is all that sky endless and welcoming? Today it is sparingly populated with clouds that are perfect in design It is as though I am seeing what lay before me really for the first time. A muscle relaxes and conforms to my mind. It reaches up, up, higher to the sky and reaching its destination there on my face is a smile. For the first time in such a long time there is a smile that melts away all worries and just experiences this touch of heaven. How can I sell this experience, I mean make it available to him, her and them? Those I gaze at walking by in a mad rush harried and overwhelmed would do well to enjoy my moment. I wish I could bottle this experience that costs nothing and hand them out on every street corner. It would solve so many problems that reach into our world like sickness and insensitivity. It is a device, placed within us to escape and be free. Moments like these are precious, many call it wasted I call it happy.

A good description of a moment in time that ultimately creates a good memory to call upon later. You will always remember the feeling you had in that short space of time, especially since you wrote about it! One note - your writing would be easier to read if you separated the paragraphs.

You write from the whimsical overflowing of your heart, which is really what poetry is (to me at least.)
I could do with more moments like these that you describe.
I wonder if this could be set more in verse, or at least in a poetic format?
