When you won't let me in
I sit and think
Of times past been
Our lives have past's
Some good some bad
When your wall goes up
I feel so sad
I try to share
My thoughts and feelings
I know we have
Our daily dealings
I wished I could break
That wall of steel
You so defensely protect
When I come close to feel
Sometimes I wished
I could make you see
How beautiful life is
Or at least to me
God gave us each other
God gave us our love
He wants us to be
Like two hands in one glove
I wear my ring proudly
I laugh and I smile
But sometimes inside
My heart weeps awhile
For as much as I Love You
And I know You Love Me
I can't help but wonder
Was this really meant to be
I know I would feel lost
Without you beside me
Even with that wall
Between us I see
So I ask God so quietly
Each time I pray
That He'll show you how
He'll show you a way
Then piece by piece
That wall will come down
You can be at peace
When it all hits the ground
You'll still see the world
All the evil and pain
But we can't dwell
It could drive us insane
So when you think
Of all the bad things there is
Just ask God to take care of it
That's His biz
For one thing I'm sure of
Our God's always there
He's our defensive wall
With faith and prayer
