Sharing the hospital nursery
Would one day wed, becoming one flesh.
This of course was not known
They were only babies, needing time to grow.
Grow they did, into fine young adults,
The boy, best friends with the girl’s twin brother
In their high school years.
He of course paid her no mind
It just wasn’t done… his best friend’s sister!
After a time he went with them on camping trips
Where the girl’s father did horse rides and won trophies.
Still, no attention between them was paid – it just wasn’t done…
Sure they talked and had fun but that’s as far as it would go
Until one day…
They went on to graduate from high school,
Going their separate ways. A few years down the rode
The girl decided to further her education.
Needing a ride she called a friend, her carpool was full, call Phil.
Call she did and he agreed, he’d give her the ride she needed.
They became fast friends, sharing in life, sharing in faith,
Talking of God and their walk with Him. Something began happen in Phil’s
Heart – he was growing to love this girl named Pamela.
Her heart had a wall around it blocking him out. He would be patient
And talk to God. Pamela’s heart softened, she fell in love.
At twenty-three these two young people wed.
Their marriage grew, they had a baby daughter of their own.
Life went on, their daughter grew… many twists and many turns
Then a life blow, which sent them reeling.
Kidney failure – Phil was in kidney failure.
Their life became a series of doctor visits,
Trying this medication and that, until the day came,
Phil would have to go on dialysis. He could do it at home…
But it tied them down to some extent – they learned to cope, and clung
Tight to the hand of their Savior who gave them strength.
About 4 years later, God granted a miracle
Tests were done and it was found that
Pamela could give Phil one of her kidneys.
Surgery was successful; God was praised
Hearts rejoiced and life was new.
This story I tell you is true
I lived it and I know that God
Is the one who handcrafted this marriage.
He knew what was needed before time began.
He brought Phil and Pamela together.
He knit them each together in their separate
Mother’s wombs knowing the need would one day
Be there for their blood types and antibodies to match
He is the Master craftsman – He does all things well,
Including bringing these two lives together.

Watch out for numbers. Any number under 100 should be spelled out. I also felt this would have worked better in short story format, rather than prose form, but that's just my opinion, and not one you have to listen to. :)
