to those who touched my heart,
to thank God for eternal life
would be the place to start.
If I could write a thank you
to the holy men of God,
I'd thank them for their chastening,
the nudging of their rod's.
If I could write a thank you
to those who spreads the word,
I'd thank them for the greatest story
the world has ever heard.
If I could write a thank you
to folks who share their knowledge,
I'd thank them with my awesome news
of graduating collage.
If I could write a thank you,
to shepherds will I owe,
the biggest thanks for spiritual foods
that helped my heart to grow.
If I could write a thank you,
I'd thank Christ for the sight
to see the love of all the pastor's
who led me to the light.
If I could write a thank you,
I'd write and write and write,
to write a few would never do,
I'd have to write all night.
