As I think of teacher student relationships it is becoming more heard of in todays society. Teachers have a responsibility to teach their students and not get involved in their private life. It sadens me to see it in the news more often and it concerns me. What sort of society are we raising and what hope do our children and grandchildren have?.
As I think of this topic it reminds me of my own school days and there was a gorgous looking guy that was our Maths teacher. He fell in love with one of his students and he left the school very quickly. He stayed the shortest time in our school and was the sorce of top gossip in the school for many years.
My thoughts on this issue are - if a teacher falls for a student that should be the end of their career as a teacher. They have broken the trust between a teacher and student relationship, even if both parties are consenting to the relationship.
