“Oh, Daddy, I can’t hardly wait to go fishing with grandma today! ,” exclaimed Daisy’s little daughter as she arranged her little things inside her bag.
It is Sunday and family time. Daisy and Jimmy arrives from mass and have everything ready for their picnic at Jimmy’s place.
After an hour, they arrived. Daisy could see the rose garden near the lake. A couple of dogs are barking as they hear them coming. Chirping birds and cool air welcome them like a gentle hug.
This is one of Daisy’s favorite moments when she could enjoy boating with her family, take pictures of wildlife for her collections, and have new adventure.
These exciting thoughts and anticipations make Daisy smile when Jimmy’s phone rings. There is a trace of anxiety on his face as he answers the phone.
“Honey, it’s emergency. I will be back after three hours.” He explained.
“Okay, but don’t be late for lunch,” Daisy answered as she unpacks their bags and camping equipments.
They were married five years ago. Daisy considers situations like these as little irritations.
Yes, they are but today she wants to do something special for everyone and for herself.
It is lunchtime. Jimmy has not arrived. Everyone seems to be busy.
Then comes siesta hour. Daisy’s little daughter sleeps comfortably under her tent on a meadow overlooking the lake. The shade of spreading trees inspires gentle caresses of breezes.
The day is so lovely. A real gift from God. For Daisy, it is another chance to exercise her patience.
Just then she hears Jimmy calling. “Daisy, are you ready? Let’s go boating now!
This is what precisely what Daisy wants to hear.
“We are coming!” Daisy replied cheerfully and enjoy the rest of the day.
As a mother and wife her mission is to open her heart to God’s Holy Will unfolding to her in many ways each day of her life.
