I get my research from Ilumina and Tomorrow’s world. As well as other such God Channels!
Ilumina is a computerised bible. It is on this programme, you can read two versions of the bible they are KJV and NLT. You can also look deeper into meanings of bible passages. It also has an encyclopaedia where you can look up almost any subject and it will give you God’s word on the matter as well as other information. It is one tool, worth having.
Tomorrow’s World is a satellite channel, which I discovered ahead of prayer and asking my father how I was to study theology. The answer was basically given to me overnight. I first realised God wanted me to do theology when a card fell on the doormat. I rang around asking information about doing such a course and the price of these courses gave me a great shock, So I did what any new born Christian would or should perform and that is to ask our heavenly father who has and knows everything about us. The producers of Tomorrow’s World sent booklets if you were willing to commute via letter or telephone call. I now have most of their booklets and have now taken to actually studying with them. This is free and with due thanks all to their church, as it is run by their collection.
It was already common knowledge to me that God answered prayer, if you earnestly pray to him. To pray to God is to commute and request your wish. My first request was during a time when I was not only drunk, but also stoned. I was lying on my bed and looked up to the heavens asking God for love. It was whilst praying to God that I was to learn from him that I am loved and that was what I was asking for, someone to love. You could say I got a double portion as now Frances and I have now been together five years and married for two and a half. We are also both Christians.
At first my aim was to study in the day, but this got to such a point where I couldn’t do it for having other jobs to do. So I decided I would do it at night, when all is calm. This seemed to be right for me simply because I managed to sleep on what I had learned. Whilst studying this way, I also began communicating with Peniel Church, this is managed by Bishop Reid. I was almost applying for a course, when the receptionist said it would cost between three and ten grand. It would cost all of that if I were to go and stay on their grounds. It was later I was to learn for myself, God wanted me to learn his way.
Although it was a postcard that had slipped through my letterbox and began my study of God, the reflection was planted into my brain through a member of church. A building I have stopped going to, as I wasn’t being spiritually fed. I began study with the Adventists; this study is to do with prophecy. The books I am learning from are Daniel and Revelations. I am halfway through it and can’t believe the fact I’m getting straight A’s.
It became general knowledge to me, when I began studying with Adventist Discovery that this was where God wanted me to be. On hearing about them, I had my doubts, but still it felt right to be a part of this belief. The more I looked into their websites and read up literature about them, the more I became aware that their philosophy wasn’t much different to mine. I started feeling safe and knew the Holy Spirit was telling me, this is where your missionary begins!
