The swords are drawn, to take on the battle.
The dark one’s still, leading people like cattle.
All lined up in front of hell’s door,
Are God’s angels installing a floor.
He sets your path in another direction,
With gentle love and full of affection.
“Don’t go that way, precious little one,
Life’s over here, I’m calling, please come.”
The dark one’s temptations pull strongly, I know.
It’s just a bit further that you need to go.
You held onto laws from long ago taught.
Today dousing fires together we fought.
Lie down, rest and gather your might,
For tomorrow they’ll be more fires to fight.
