Lord, I never gave birth to a child from,
My womb to bear!
But Lord! There are many children without,
A mom to care!
You have blessed me with being a spiritual,
Mom for many without;
Thank You Lord, what a great calling this is,
I have no doubt!
To hold a child’s hand and pray a prayer!
And lead them from destructions snare.
I never felt the pain of birth, though I long to fill,
That call!
A part of womanhood that lifts a child when,
Ere it may fall.
You have led me to children dirty and living,
On the street;
You have shown me a child’s tears wearing,
Loneliness on its feet!
I have put my arms around a child orphaned,
Early in life!
Held a sick dying one who will never joy,
Or be someone's wife.
I have held many babies that could never,
Begin to walk.
I have sung too many a deaf child; that will,
Never talk.
I have shared Your love that goes beyond,
The fleshly heart!
So faithful, You promised never ever…
Depart.
So Thank You Lord God; for a purposeful life.
A Spiritual mom in life for you!
A lifetime calling that brings you Glory. With praises too!
