Are the words that abound in 26:3 of Psalms
As I increase in years and stray from the days of my youth
I find that the one whose Word is true relieves my qualms
His voice can be heard in times of grief, love, and strife
A comfort, a guide, like a footstep that leads
Sometimes His voice is so sharp it cuts like a knife
Yet in those difficult times He meets my deepest needs
My Jesus is my sole source to nourish and be content
No person or thing will ever take up this void
I know that first is the need to truly repent
Then my Lord will fill my heart and I will be overjoyed
I will daily ask Him to show me His love and peace
I will listen and hearken to the truth of His voice
And on the day when on earth my breath will cease
It is then that I will know the fruit of my choice
In this lifetime I will say I walked with my Lord and King
In eternity I will praise and worship Him for His glorious ways
For ever and ever I will lift my voice and sing
In awe and wonder at His ability to always amaze
