There is always anticipation when opening a lock. The anticipation of unlocking a house door and being home at the end of the work day, or the most exciting anticipation of opening a lock to a treasure box.
If you know the treasure or not, the thrill of finding a token of some precious memory or an unexpected gift always makes the heart beat quicken. A petite lock can keep secret thoughts or emotions in the private pages of a diary while a steel lock can keep a compound segregated from a whole world of unauthorized people.
There is one lock though in our worlds that can not be shattered with strength or force and yet the slightest tear can usher a response directly from Heaven with angel escorts and a Holy Spirit hug. The lock on a person’s soul can be opened with just a whisper to Jesus. Demons and men have tried to enter Heaven with battering ram and bulldozer, but these gates can only be opened from the inside.
So in the stillness of the night where shadows have no form close your mind to the world that seeks its own satisfaction. As Jesus knocks at the door of your heart, open the understanding of the greatest treasure ever given. This great treasure will release the gates of sorrow and despair to the God who will lock away the guilt of our past as He gives new prosperity to our future.
Once this gift is discovered the adventure of sharing it or protecting it reveals new treasures each day.
We all have this same key to Heaven, we only have to whisper “The name of Jesus”.
