Your favorite movie just got over. It was exciting, thrilling and fun to watch. You didn't want it to stop; it could have just kept going and going and going. Wait though, here come those famous last words.....THE END!
Have you ever thought about those two words? The dictionary states the following definition for end: to bring to a conclusion, a result, outcome. Something toward which one strives; a goal. Another definition states: to come to a finish; cease.
What are we doing in our daily Christian lives to meet the end of our journey? The older I get, the faster time passes. Each day I see my children growing, learning life's lessons and learning to survive what each day brings.
I don't want to seem morbid, but our days on earth are numbered. Each day is precious and should be savored. We should all strive to live each day to its fullest. Don't forget to stop and smell the roses. Try to do a kind deed for someone along the way. Let us always be mindful of our daily walk.
There's an old Christian song that goes...when we come to the end of our journey. Are you preparing for the end? Are you ready for the end of your journey here on earth?
Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." (KJV)
