The Beginning

Where do we start,you have this idea in your head about a story you want to tell.
But putting it on paper is another story.
The ideas run through your head like a freight train. Which one do write down first. Everyone tells you that you should write a book with your ideas. You even have an English teacher who says your good. But still the ideas are stuck up there waiting to be put on paper. Why do we have a mental block and
they won't come? Is it because we are scared and don't want to be rejected or
maybe we don't believe in ourselves enough. Either one is an awful feeling to have. It keeps you from your dream
of becoming someone specail that can take another person and transport them
into your story. What about maybe the story will not hold the interest of the
people reading. All I know is what ever
the problem is I wish I did not have it.
I want to start my book.

I hear ya! Sometimes we just have to START putting it down and let it develope from that point. Any thoughts you would have had on where to start, would help. But I get your drift. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on what we have all experienced sometime or another. God bless ya, littlelight

My instructor at college, once told the class, "Do the things you FEAR the most!"

Fear is not of God, only from the enemy. If you want to write, may I suggest writing a journal with all your ideas. Than, go through each idea, and write specifically on that subject. Write words, phrases and all that comes to mind on that subject. Take time to focus on one story at a time, then write, read..revise, write, read, and revise again. This is how to become better as a writer, plus with Faithwriters, you'll have others critique your work.
