Topic: ENVY (jealousy of another’s advantage) (02/12/15)
When I read my sister’s post this morning, my first thought was “I don’t want to be in charge either!” As I pondered on this my spirit got excited! It is good neither of us want to “be in charge”, that is God’s place! I am the type of person that over analyze’s every little thing. I can play with it in my mind, make it bigger or smaller, trying to comprehend what is going on. This brings an incredible sense of “burden” into my soul affecting my hearing the Spirit of God. I get all tangled up in my emotions, my thinking and eventually in my decision making. As you can imagine, this creates chaos and dissension all around me.Throughout my life I have missed the simplicity of being a Christian by over analyzing every situation. It is NOT my place to figure it all out, it is GOD’s! We are only to keep our eyes on Jesus and let Him do the thinking, it always works out so much better that way. Life is not supposed to be a burden for us, it is Grace that is working out all things our for our good. The Divine undeserved Favor of God…nothing more, nothing less!

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are My ways your ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

We are responsible for our actions and our thoughts so we should be "in charge" of what we do and what we think.

Because we are responsible for these, God will hold us accountable for them in the judgment.

Keep writing as we can learn even from what we write.

I think you did a nice job with this piece. I enjoyed the real life example right in the beginning. It was a great start and a good point to make. My only red ink would be to use exclamation points sparingly. Instead let your wonderful choice of words do your exclaiming for you. Overall, though, you did a nice job and we're spot on topic while delivering a message we all need to hear sometimes.

With few words, you've captured the key to inner peace by relinquishing the need to understand everything or control everything to God. Trusting the Lord in all things is serenity.

Creative Christians tend to be ruminators - obsessing about true and false repentance, the formula for saving faith etc. etc.
I'm glad you are learning to look away from emotions and transient feeling to the Savior and the veracity of His word. He will never fail you and His promises are sure. Continue to find your Rest in Him my Faith Writer friend.
