TITLE: Old Man Winter (ii) | Previous Challenge Entry

He brought with him
a chilly breeze that blew the leaves off the trees.
Sweeping in the early foggy mists
with his angry fists.
Leaving icy patches in the mornings without assist.
Sunlight fading faster and faster
as the days, grow longer.
The bears are seeking a new shelter for
a longer winter's nap.
Squirrels are gathering food to store their winter chore.
He stirs the frigid forest floor
with tiny droplets
of rain and causes a ruckus
till it snows.
Covers the forest with a blanket
as the trees bow.
When it begins to melt the sun
comes out to visit.
Then Old Man Sunshine comes to
give early dew
to those who made it through.
Trees sway in the breeze,
Flowers bloom,
The bears come out of their tombs,
Squirrels no longer weep.
Old Man Winter has gone off to sleep.
