And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Were you born to noted parents or were your grandparents well known even living in another country? Are your ancestor’s genealogy filled with people of wealth and notability?
These are a lot of questions to start with, however questions of fame and fortune helps us know these people.
In the Biblical times, genealogy of all the famous people who were ancestors to JESUS was recorded from Genesis to Mathew. And this is one of the reasons JESUS is referred to as Son of David sometimes instead of SON of GOD. The Genealogy of Jesus Christ Matthew 1:1-16 gives many noted people of the Old Testament leading up to JESUS’ birth.
1 The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:
2 Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. 3 Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. 4 Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. 5 Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, 6 and Jesse begot David the king.
David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife[a] of Uriah. 7 Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa.[b] 8 Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. 9 Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. 10 Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon,[c] and Amon begot Josiah. 11 Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon.
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. 13 Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. 14 Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. 15 Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. 16 And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. This scripture pertains to JESUS’ baptism, Matthew 3: 17 state this:” And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is MY Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” This is GOD’S voice speaking of JESUS.
JESUS is known throughout the countries of the world whether they accept HIS authority or not. HE is denied in many of them where other religions (not the pure religion) do not even think HE has been born yet. YET they know of HIS miracles and life whether or not they believe.
In HIS genealogy, I see many names of righteous people who prospered in their faith even though JESUS did not put riches before HIS FATHER GOD. People like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon,, Judah (JESUS is The Lion of the Tribe of Judah”). Solomon, a son of David, prospered because GOD chose him to build the temple for HIM, yet he sinned against GOD by adultery as did his Father. Solomon was the richest person ever even though JESUS refused the rich man entrance into Heaven merely because he would not sell his fortunes.
A question on the application to join, “What is your fame?” It is very interesting to discover what answers people wrote. I In a writing Group known for writing and publishing of stories, poems, articles asked felt like I did the work through JESUS such as illustrations when my arm and hand became dead at the results of a huge patient who injured them. I prayed to JESUS to allow me to illustrate and I would only do so for HIM and HIS credit. This was HIM using my ability to follow HIS instructions in doing what I did for HIS glory.
I have searched my genealogy and to my surprise found there were Princes, Earls, Kings, and it startled me for I was never told about this. My maternal grandfather had friends in the government with fame, fortune and gave some to my Grandpa and I knew he had a lot of land and was listed in the Genealogy Book where he donated a grand amount of money for the railroad to come through Caroleen NC.
Not as famous as JESUS, not as powerful as HIM, but I am a joint-heir with HIM to the throne of GOD and the LAMB of GOD.

Try to take the next step and go even further with your writings. Most of your story is copied directly from the Bible. You are going to get a lot of people who skip over it.
Tou mentioned a line about your hand and arm being injured by a huge patient. It would have been great if you shared about that and how your faith took you through the hard times. You make a great point at the end when you basically say because of Jesus dying on the cross, he has brought me into his family. How wonderful to have such a connection with the Lord. We are blessed by it for sure.
Keep writing the words that God puts on your heart. Sometimes it can be scary but to do his calling, we at times must take a risk.
We do have the Mind of Christ and are heirs to all he had. Keep writing.
The ending is a "great connection" showing we are all part of His family. As we are sharing one body in Christ through His blood, we are saved and through His victory over death...we shall all live together forever in paradise. Loved it. Good job.
