I wish some day that I will be able to smell the fragrance of love. Now don’t get me wrong, I am happily married to my best friend for the last 22 years. I, however, am one of unlucky ones that have not been able to really fell the love of this man that God placed in my life. It goes back many a year to when I was a child. One that was used and abused daily. My idea of love was so distorted that I had to love in order to get people away from me.

I know now that God has healed me from that pain and I never want to "go there” again. I have always wanted to feel the presence of the love that God has put into my life, but I cannot.

It seems so far way, the fragrance, that is. It seems like I may never smell that until my time is up and I go home to be with my Creator. I bear this life without that delicacy, by reaching toward the goal, the goal of God’s goodness.

I know one day that I will smell that smell and be doused in His fragrance, for He promises that in His word, and He really does love me.
