Betsy stood next to the table as people talked, “Ladies we have a special treat tonight. You are going to get to taste food that is from the Passover feast."
"One of the foods they had is bitter herbs. For that we have horseradish,” as Betsy picked up the bowl of horseradish and put it back on the table. "The horseradish is a reminder of that it was a bitter experience for the Israelites."
She then picked up the big plate in the middle of the table for a second. “One of the other foods is lamb. The lamb had to have nothing wrong with it. For Passover they also spread the lamb’s blood on the doorframes. When they had the Passover supper they also had to be dressed and ready for travel. You notice that I dressed up tonight. This is what I wear when I travel.”
“They also had to have bread without Yeast.” Betsy picked up the basket that had cloth over it, and then un-covered it. “I have Matzah which will serve as our unleavened bread.”
Betsy grabbed a large pitcher and some small cups that were in the middle of the table. “What you about to drink is salt water. It symbolizes the blood of the lamb from the first Passover.” She passed the cups around and pitcher to people in the group and they drank the salt water.
“The final thing we have today is grape juice. They would have used wine; it represented the mortar they used."
She paused for a moment, "The food’s we are having today, can also correlate with what Jesus did for us on the cross. Jesus was the ultimate lamb that was slain. The grape juice and the saltwater represent the blood of Jesus. Jesus death was bitter that to me represents the horseradish. The Matzah and the lamb serve as Jesus body.
Betsy stepped back from the table and put both of her hand together. “I wanted you to experience food from Bible times I hope you enjoy”
All of the women clapped and enjoyed the food.

Be careful to stay consistent with your tenses. Sometimes they jumped from past to present.
This was an interesting take on the topic. Keep writing, I look forward to reading more of your work.
