Need a change? To everything there is a season and
with seasons comes changes. God has given us changes
in our lives just like the seasons. Each season has it own
little secret. It's what we glean from it that's the secret.
Shhhhh! Close your eyes and let's find the secret of Autumn.
As I sat on a wooden bench one brisk, sunny Autumn day. I
began to look around me and see the changes of the season
and what it meant to me.
The leaves that are being blown by the wind represents the
turmoil, pain and sorry within my heart, mind and soul.
I realize that the leaves do not change colors over night. It's
a gradual change. This has two meaning to me. The first
one is that as I read the word of God and pray daily the
understanding and knowledge of his word will grow slowly within
me. The second one is the slow healing process of the sorrow,
pain and turmoil in my life. Just like it takes time for the leaves
to change colors; it takes time to heal pain.
The leaves that lay on the ground I came to recognize as the
peace that God has given me. The peace that passes all
understanding. Just as the leaves has settled on the ground
so has my unrest has settled.
So to answer the question I asked at the being, "Need a change"?.
The answer is absolutely. Without the change of the seasons I
would never have found Autumn's Secret.
