Gloria Simson babysat Feng's five year old daughter Marcy. She was a cute Chinese American girl that had black hair and a beautiful smile. When Feng dropped Marci off in the morning, Gloria always had a good laugh when he would call her Goria.
Distractions can be costly. Gloria got distracted when Marci fell off of the swing and cut her knee. The knee looked so bad that Gloria decided to take Marci to the Emergency Room. The doctor decided that she would need stitches. Gloria had called Feng and left a message at his work and told him that his daughter was at Park Memorial Hospital. Feng had stepped out of the office for a few minutes.
Feng walked into his office and Barb, his secretary, told him the bad news about his daughter.
"Feng, we just got a call from your babysitter, your daughter is in the Emergency room at Park Memorial,” said Barb.
"What!" Feng gasped in disbelief.
"Your daughter is in the Emergency Room," Barb repeated.
He ran into his office, picked up the phone and paused for a minute. In his panic he could not remember Gloria's cell phone number. He decided to just call the hospital.
"Emergency room," said the nurse who picked up the phone.
"Is there a Goria in the waiting room?"
The nurse paused for a minute and said, "Sir, this is a emergency room, we don't have time to take crank calls."
"Click," the nurse hanged up the phone.
Feng dialed the number again his heart was beating even faster.
"Emergency Room," said the nurse.
"Is there a Goria...."
"Click," the nurse did even give him a chance to finish his sentence that time. Feng slammed the phone down in frustration.
He paused for a minute. He put both hands on the side of his forehead. He racked his brain and tried to remember Gloria's cell phone number. Gloria's phone number was saved on his cell phone, but he forgot it at home Then he remembered Gloria's cell phone number and called. Gloria picked up.
"Hello, this is Gloria."
"This is Feng, what happened to my daughter?" as he took a big breath and felt relieved that he finally got in touch with Gloria.
"She was on the swing, when I got distracted, she fell and cut on her knee. The doctor is going to need to stitch her knee up. You need to come here and sign the papers," said Gloria.
"That 's fine I will be there as soon as I can," said Feng.
Marci survived the cut. Feng and Gloria were thankful that nothing more serious happened.

Perhaps read the story aloud when you write it. It seems as though there were some grammatical errors. However it could be me and part of the humor of your story. If so, I apologize for not catching that.
But there is only one problem.
It is the Japanese, that do not have an "L" sound, the chinese, korean, and vietnamese languages, all have an "L" and a trilling or rolling "R" like the spanish speakers do.
There is the letter "L" sound and symbol in Chinese. mainland Cantonese and Mandarin especially.
I am an american adopted from China as a young girl.
I spoke cantonese exclusively until I was 5.
In American I am "Teri", but in Chinese I am "Mai Lin".
How could my Chinese name be Mai Lin, without the L?
How could other chinese people be named Lo Wei, Lee, Le, Li, LeLu, Lin, Lyn or Lin Hao (Survived the earthquake in Sichuan in 2008). Without the L?
You have heard of "Lee Jun Fan" AKA "Bruce Lee", and of course you have heard of Laos, near Vietnam?
