The door shuts
The journey begins
Ignition
Turns on
Rolling down the road

Green trees
Leaves
Whirling
Passing by

The time
Seems to be
Stretching forever
Stretching far

Following a river
The road
Seems to be
Meandering
Flowing along

It seems so easy
It seems so free
It seems so easy
For me to see
Which way to go
Which way to follow

Although
As I turn the corner
The grass is not so green
There are things
Hidden
Those things
Not yet seen

Here is where
The journey
Gets slow
A halting nervousness
Of not knowing
Desperately looking in the never ending bleakness

The thought
Will this ever
End
Will I ever
Get round the next
Bend

My heart cries out
Unto the Lord
A hearts cry
For wisdom
For understanding
Of which direction to go

Then
Comes the light
The sunshine
The sign
Comes flooding
Across the road
The way now clearing
Not heavy the load

Again
The journey is smooth
With the Lords direction
In which
I follow
Times will be hard
The road will be
Narrow
But I’m not on my own
I’ve got the Lord
To follow
