During the first two trimesters slipping into that gown wasn't so bad. There was always a slight struggle with the two short (and often entangled) strings in the back, but I could usually manage to fasten my stylish attire and hide my exposure. Awaiting the arrival of my good doctor, I'd sit up on the table and use the thin paper sheet for double coverage. Eventually... the third trimester hit and it has become a whole lot harder to hide. The gown has gotten more and more difficult to fasten and the paper sheet barely covers my bellybutton (in no way am I going to accomplish reaching it around to my backside). That doctor of mine, he's so gracious, he never bats an eye as I pull and tug, twist and turn, reach and stretch to keep myself hidden, as if he hasn't seen a whole lot more of me, or isn't about to.

Much like my struggle at the OB, there is another I've tried to hide from, and He too has seen all there is to see, in fact, He created my very being and there is no gown nor sheet large enough to keep Him from seeking me out of my hiding.

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:13 NIV
